This documentary is the story of the Fairview High School pool, constructed in 1961 and demolished in 2007. Each chapter addresses an important part of the rich history of the Fairview Swim Program, from the formation of a State Championship team to the organization of the Fairview Parents Swimming Association.

Introduction
On March 25, 2007, the Grand Old Pool was open to the public for the last time. Days later, the pool was demolished to make room for a larger gymnasium. The cameras were there as we take a look at what happened on that day, and what was, forty seven years earlier.

The Idea
When the Fairview school system decided to build a competition swimming pool, the administration hired a young coach working at Baldwin Wallace College. Coach Richard Segrist began advising in the construction of the new High School Natatorium.

Building A Team
Coach Segrist begins the task of putting together a competition swim team that will be able to compete in the Conference and at the State level.

Aiming For Number One
The first years of the Fairview Swim Team, as they build for the future.

Parents of the swim athletes, led by coach Segrist, break away from the Athletic Boosters to form their own organization.

In The National Eye
Fairview hosts the Woman's Senior National AAU Short Course Swimming Championship in 1967, turning the Fairview pool into a national stage.

The End Of A Decade
The 1960s come to an end, and the team enters the next decade.

The Tuna Timers
An important part of the swimming program, the Tuna Timers became the cheerleaders of the Fairview Swim Team.

The Seventies
The Fairview team competes during the 1970s.

80s, 90s, and Today
A look at the Fairview Swimming and Diving Team from the end of the 70s to 2007.

The Last Swim Meet
Many swim alumni were present at the last swim meet held in the Grand Old Pool.
