The following items for sale are provided by the Fairview Parents Swimming Association. All proceeds from the sale of these items go directly to the FPSA to assist in the cost of maintaining the swimming and diving team. The FPSA is a 501c4 non-profit organization designed to help our outstanding young athletes on the Fairview High Swimming and Diving Team.
This two hour documentary "The Grand Old Pool" on DVD includes movies of the 1964 championship team, videos, and interviews with many of the Fairview swim greats, including announcer Bill Bristow, coaches Dick Segrist, Judi Norton, Roger Storm, athletes Dave Williams, Greg Kappa, Ed Bettendorf, Doug Sabala, Mike Zappone, Scott Bliss, Larry Bricmont, Bob Kelsik, Megan Bean, Eileen Bringman, and more.
Jam packed with stories, pictures, and history of the Fairview Swim Team. Price: $10.00
One hour DVD includes the best of the old 8mm and 16mm movies found in the old pool storage room, along with video of recent team action. This DVD includes footage of the competition at Columbus in 1964 when the Tunas won the State Championship. It also includes film footage from practices and swim meets up through 1970. This DVD is put to music and digitally re-mastered for outstanding picture quality. Price: $10.00
This ten minute video on DVD documents the construction of the tile table top made from original pool tiles which was presented to coach Dick Segrist at the reunion. You'll see how each tile was removed from the deck of the Grand Old Pool, cleaned, polished, and placed on the table top to spell "11 FT DEEP." Appearances by numerous past presidents of the Fairview Parents Swimming Association and bit of humor make this an interesting video to watch. Price: $5.00
